RingQuest is a four part a cappella group that sings in the Barbershop harmony style, better known as a “Barbershop Quartet”.  All four of them are also members of the Fairfax Jubil-Aires Barbershop Chorus of Fairfax, Virginia.  From left to right: Bill McDonald is the baritone, Roger Lemieux sings lead, Bix Doughty sings the high notes, and John Knueven (front) does bass.

RingQuest got its name from two sources:  First, it was formed in January of 2002 for the express purpose of singing at the wedding reception of John’s daughter, Karyn (which it did in May of 2002). And so the quartet was in Quest for a Ring (wedding ring, that is!).  Second, barbershop singers have a goal of singing chords so well that they “ring throughout the hall”, and so they are always questing for that ringing chord (as depicted by the RingQuest logo below, ;-)).

RingQuest does many beautiful and traditional four-part harmony songs in the barbershop style, but don’t be surprised if they throw in some more unusual and funny songs too!  They are primarily interested in entertaining their audience with great sounding music mixed with fun.
